JOINING HCE

 

INDIVIDUAL HCE UNITS (Regular Membership) COLLECT YEARLY DUES OF BETWEEN $$13-$18 FROM EACH PERSON. OF THESE DUES, $13.00 IS SENT TO THE COUNTY ORGANIZATION FOR EACH PERSON EACH YEAR.  SUSTAINING MEMBERSHIP IS PRESENTLY $18.00/YEAR AND IS MADE PAYABLE TO McLEAN COUNTY HCE AND SENT TO: Bette Ohlenkamp, 1600 Northbrook Dr., Unit 6A, Normal, IL 61761. (PHONE: 309-454-8442) Instead of attending monthly unit meetings, the Sustaining Member may receive their lesson materials through the mail. The Sustaining Member may also attend any of the unit meetings or meetings in the county and state.  Check calendar on the home page to see available programs and workshops.

HOME & COMMUNITY EDUCATION MEMBERSHIP

 

Are you interested in keeping up to date with the latest information about food & fitness, basic home repairs, managing stress in tough times, “spend smart, save smart, Fall trip to the Springfield Festival of Trees, International lesson on Scotland, and a Holiday Party and Workshops?  Then you hopefully will attend the fall programs and meetings that inform our membership about important issues such as these.  Our Winter-Spring programs are: Understanding Food Labels, genealogy, Home Energy Savings,, and workshops on Cooking, scrapbooking,sewing, and Read & Share’s. These will be presented now-June, 2012. Interesting and informative trips and tours are organized for the spring and fall seasons.  There are 10 educational groups throughout McLean County that meet monthly, September through June, seven day groups and two evening groups and a sustaining group. We would like to help organize more day or evening groups that suit your individual needs.  This is regular membership.

 

If meeting with a specific group is too difficult, there is Sustaining Memberships where all monthly lesson materials are mailed to you.  You would also receive the monthly Extension Newsletter and receive timely information about HCE and other related programs and activities.  There is a yearly dues collected from all members ranging from $13-$18. (Sustaining Membership is $18.00.)
